Strange Loop Games is live!

Two exciting things today – first, our website and trailer for our first game Vessel are now live!  We still have a lot more work on the project before it’s ready to ship out, but we’d like to give a look to any curious internet citizens out there.

Second, Vessel has been nominated as a finalist in the IGF, in the category of ‘technical excellence’!  We’re extremely proud to be listed among so many amazing games, and looking forward to showing Vessel on the IGF floor.  Come out and play our game at GDC 2010…

We’ll be posting our development progress on this blog along with other random game-related minutiae as the mood strikes us, so stick around and drop us a comment.  Hello 2010, it’s going to be a busy year.

Your project looks very promising. So far I see a combination of moody atmosphere and physics based gameplay that will, in my opinion, net you a good niche for your game.

I was sent here by Oliver Clarke of Blitz Games Arcade and I’m quite glad I took the bait. I really hope your game is successful and has a great start both on the PC and consoles :)

On a different note, I work at DroptheDice.com and we love to give our support to independent developers such as yourselves. I’m sure we’ll contact you in the future to talk about your work as a new game developing team and, of course, your game Vessel.

    Until then, best of lucks!

    Nice trailer, guys.

The game’s been getting quite a bit of attention via the IGF competition, so it’s nice to see the site go up as well.

Hopefully you’ll continue to build interest in Vessel and have enough time and resources to make it into the game you’d like it to be.

    Nice looking game!

Will there be any Hofstadter things in it or will that only be your name (I only noticed it because I’m reading GEB)?
